U-he Zebra: Creating A Tuned Kick Sequence

How do you create tuned cinematic kick sequences in U-he Zebra? In this video I take apart a patch from my soundbank Automaton to show you how I created it from scratch, and to demonstrate why Zebra has such a reputation for cinematic sounds.

In the video I discuss:

  • How to create a static kick drum
  • Using U-he’s signal flow to give your sound character
  • Creating a digital sounding bass synth to create the tuned element of the patch
  • How to use the cross-mod filter to create punch
