I’m pleased to announce that my first patch collection, Halcyon for Omnisphere, is available now!
During my work scoring low budget films, I spend a lot of time creating patches for my compositions to set the tone of the score. For a long time, Omnisphere has been my favourite tool to use for this due to it’s incredible sound quality, huge range of sound sources, powerful granular engine and unbeatable effects. Recently, I decided to put what I’d learned from my time crafting these sounds to use with a commercial library. Halcyon is that library, and hopefully the first of many.
Halcyon is a collection of 100 cinematic ambient patches for Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2, inspired by the likes of Brian Eno, Vangelis, Cliff Martinez, Boards of Canada, Jon Hopkins and other composers from across the years who realised that beautiful music didn’t have to involve a lot of melodic content. This sound bank makes good use of Omnisphere’s incredible PRO-Verb effect, the extensive textural sound sources, and the brilliant granular engine to create chilled out and spacious sounds that are perfect for film, TV and game scoring, but also work well in any music production. From soft pads and serene textures, to delicate sequences and minimal basses, this patch bank has everything you need to make beautiful ambient soundscapes.
Halcyon is available now for the introductory price of £9.99 for a limited time only.
