Halcyon Pt. 2 for Omnisphere

(4 customer reviews)

For fans of: Brian Eno, Jon HopkinsBoards Of Canada

Featuring 200 cinematic-style ambient patches for Omnisphere, Halcyon Pt. 2 continues the legacy of the Halcyon series with a range of abstract sequences, oblique textures, serene pads and much more, with a heavy emphasis on using Omnisphere’s granular engine and psychoacoustic sound sources to create unnatural sounds with a natural feel. While perfect for film and media composers looking to add a little unique ambience to their compositions, these patches are also a great choice for electronic producers, as well as for composing music for meditation.

It’s a high quality soundset which covers a large area of different sound categories. It contains wonderful pads, cool textures and transition effects, fantastic arps and much more. For me (as ambient music producer) it’s the perfect soundset to start a new project.

I actually purchased both Halcyon Bundle. I really love the what you have done here! Extremely useful out of the box and easily accessible in their categories on Omnisphere 2. I do a lot of hybrid composing with live instruments and electronics. Just finished a film and hope to use these on my next projects. They are some of the finest libraries I have come across!

  3. Guido Negraszus

Simply top notch. I bought tons of 3rd party sound sets over the years but this one stands out. As a rule I can only use 10% of most sound sets. Halcyon is different. Every preset makes me want to do something with it. Amazing. Thank you Tom!

  4. JAMAL

Believe me, when I say I have a lot of music hardware and software to handle synthetic film underscoring and I was about to abandon my beloved Omnisphere forever for not being up to standard sound wise, but when I on a whim paired Tom Wolfe’s Omnisphere’s Halcyon Pt.2 (running through) Tom Wolfe’s Ambient Soundscapes for Soundtoys….. Oh, my god!! Let me tell you…..Omnisphere has never, I repeat never sounded this good for film synthetic underscoring. Well Done!
